Great job on passing your VEA! It is a huge accomplishment to reach this step in the postal hiring process and you should be proud of yourself.

Now that you have passed the assessment and are considered screened and eligible for at least one of the entry level jobs with USPS, you are in a great position to pursue the job you really want. Now, your chances at getting hired are much greater than before you passed the assessment.

Before you start looking for your ideal job, it is important to consider a few things that will impact your search.

First, remember that jobs come and go frequently and positions are filled quickly. In other words, each day you search for jobs, there will be different opportunities than the previous day. Opportunities that you see today may be different than those that you see next week.

This is a process and job opportunities are constantly changing. In some cases, you may find that perfect job on the first day you begin to search. In other cases, you may need to check job openings daily for a few days, maybe even a couple of weeks.

Just keep in mind, you are pursuing a lifelong career with a very prestigious government organization. You are seeking a career with great job security, awesome pay, and incredible federal benefits. So, a small investment of your time and patience is well worth the effort.
